For cavity widths 90-105mm, heavy duty load L1/XHD Lintel has manufactured lengths in 150mm increments. The blockwork is built tight against the inner face of the lintel so that you can then place the mortar bed on top of the blockwork before floor units are laid to provide even distribution of load. It can also be propped to facilitate speed of construction.
