For container planting, use a soil-based compost, repotting into a larger container, then water thoroughly and place in full sun or partial shade. Alternatively, plant directly into moist, well-drained soil in a sheltered spot, protected from harsh winds. Amend poorly draining soil with well-rotted manure or compost.
